My husband had a vasectomy three years ago. I have been completely loyal. I just wondered if any other women out there have had it happen. I am not 100% sure I am pregnant but I am having some symptoms. I will be taking a test tomorrow.

BTW, yes, I have been loyal. No, they don't cut off the man's testicles. They cut the tubes leading from the testes. I personally know two out of three people who have become pregnant after husband's vasectomy. Just wondering how many more have had it happen.

This has not happened to me. I'm pregnant now, but my husband hasn't had the surgery. It happened to a really good friend of mine. He had the surgery many years ago and his wife was told she could never have kids. About 3 years ago she got pregnant, and then a about a year and a half ago, she got pregnant again!!! She was 41 or 42 I think when she had the first one.

Glad to hear you have a great relationship. To really add cement to your already good relationship with your husband I would suggest you have your husband do a DNA test. The vasectomy may not be 100% and that would be the cause of a post-vac pregnancy. It would be normal for a man who believes he's sterile that when his wife has a baby to have some doubt. You suggesting the DNA test will remove all doubts. And everyone will live happily ever after. Have a great life.

In rare cases, a vasectomy can reverse itself. Did your husband have the additional sperm tests after it was done? It also depends on the method, some methods can reverse more easily. But it is extremely rare. It's also possible that you're having symptoms from something else. Good luck.

My cousin had a vasectomy about 15 years ago. His daughter just turned 13.

Uhhh....no! Is that even possible? I think that the whole reason for a vasectomy is so you do not have children, don't they cut off the testicles so sperm can not produce? I can't say for sure, but that would be a miracle. Are you sure that you never cheated? Will he want a DNA test after it is born? Good luck to this one!

I have never heard of it happening, but you should really ask a doctor on that. My dad had a vasectomy (what a WONDERFUL gift to give a woman!) and my mom never had any problems or complaints of his little swimmers invading her body. But who knows WHAT other people go through?!

+ I have heard of it happening, but I assume it must be very rare. You may have a miracle on your hands. Better have a DNA test afterward to make sure there is no mistake.
