Believe it or not, beautiful people do not have it so easy. Most guys are intimidated by beautiful women, so are tongue tied and hesitate ask for a date. Mostly they get approached by arrogant men with entitlement issues who mistake sleazy pick-up lines as clever intros.
Most of the time, the special treatment they get is expected to be returned in the form of physical affection, which is really uncomfortable. Pressure is not romantic! They also solicit lots of embarrassing harassment. And unfaithful guys, as Shane so accurately demonstrates.
They suffer just as greatly from low self esteem, insecurity and criticism. And most time it is just assumed they are shallow and vain.
One hot girl was walking with her brother (he was hot, too--runs in the family), and a complete stranger said to him "F*ck her. I did." At which he replied "That's my sister, *sshole!", then made the appropriate threats.
The advantages of beauty are canceled out by the disadvantages.

No one has the same level of personality in my mind but there's a lot more to this question than just a simple answer. If these two people did have the same personality but one was smarter than the other who was more good looking... well it depends how much "hotter" the other person is and it depends whether the smarter one likes to show off his smart-ness.
Since they are both fairly smart to begin with I think most people would go for the good looking one. Personally, I think I would prefer the smarter one as long as he didn't think himself superior and didn't act that way around people and didn't make me feel dumb. This way, I would also know whether I liked this person for who he was rather than just for his looks.

I'd still go for beautiful i mean if its just slightly smarter then of course id go for beautiful! looks do count not for the most part but some of it.

the more effective looking individual, when you consider that from what you describe it type of sounds like theyre both in reality an same. perhaps its a touch shallow, yet i favor to be bodily drawn to human beings besides as emotionally and mentally.

people can say whatever they want but everyone in that position would take the more beautiful one. We are programmed to react that way. Why do you think people buy gossip magazines about celebrities and those "beautiful people".
Its sick but its nature.

The brain being the largest sex organ, I'd go for smart! Nothing, NOTHING, is sexier than brains and the quick with that goes with them! Trust me... I KNOW this!

well,
jessica simpson vs my gurlfriend its no contest physical beauty rains supreme ...how ever if were talking some dumb hotchick at a party or the mall who could possibly get u off in the washroom like a freak ...i wouldnt break the heart of my average gurl friend who is loyal in turn and honest all the time ..UNLESS it was jessica or sum1 like her where ur like wow Gods gift to man .......and i could could taste that yaknow YAKNOW

well...i would date the person who is most like me.......good looking, inteligent, great sence of humor, not cocky, but aware that he is good looking, i.e. confident...tatoos peircings..........
