when its still girlfriend/boyfriend times, everything is great.. everything flows smoothly.. he`s always sweet and thoughtful.. after you two are married, the atmosphere changes.. the sweetness is lessen (or gone), so as the thoughtfulness..you dont talk to your wife like before, and im talking about guys.. why is that???

because they become too comfortable!! they dont have to impress you anymore! i know exactly what u r talking about, they become careless with their appearance, less caring etc!!! you should be pro-active and make him talk, let him know how you re feeling, but dont fall for the 'charming' guy, be realistic about what your needs are

I'm almost 37 and have never been in a relationship, and your question validates some of my reason why not to get married, too. Sometimes the fears of a relationship overcome any loneliness.
I think it is because marriage is considered "proper and prude". A lot of couples think they have to be like the American Gothic.

I'm sorry, I am not giving an answer here, but if someone does, PLEEEEASE tell ME!!! because i'm about ready to tell MINE where to go after 15 yrs...when we were friends (for many yrs.), we talked about anything & everything! Now, I barely get a "how was your day" or a "uh huh" from a quick glance away from the idiot box!.

Amen, a question every women wants to know. Why don't they give a crap anymore about talking, I know he didn't lose his voice, because he just asked if we could go slip into the bathroom for a quickie. So tired of being the only one that cares about conversation

That is horrible that you know it and don't try to change it. Just complaining about it. Not all marriges are like that. Yes, people change, but it can be for the better, and become even closer. It's very possible.

99.9% of men/women are like that. IT's a different phase of life, your marital status is not the same as when you are not married, so behavior changes too. They also know their spouse can't leave them that easily so they take them for granted.

Well some feel lke they have won the competion so they don't need to work any harder anymore. Marraige is an ongoing effort and should always upgraded.

It's because the woman sees only what she WANTS to see before the wedding. She doesn't pay attention to the "annoyances" before she "nabs" him, then can't understand why he "changed" when he didn't at all. She just was looking through "rose colored glasses".

well, one must ask ones self, is it really him, or is it me, ppl rarley think about their own actions anymore, and take too many things for granted, rethink ur situation, maybe theres something that YOU can do about it, instead of just watching it from the sidelines, in most cases, that means ur not really as into him as u once thought

probably the same reason that women lose their sex drive when they get married, who knows
once you get married you pretty much think that you already won the prize and don't have to work as hard for it anymore
