I've had the same problem!! I bought Clinique's moisturizing lotion for face and neck. Then on top of that I use Cover Girl's Tinted Moisturizer Foundation... Works great!! Once I switched to the cheaper kind I had much better luck! No more dry skin! Good luck!

You want to take care of the underlying problem (dry skin) before you consider your makeup. If you're not using a skincare line especially formulated for dry skin, you should try. I use Clinique 3-step and it works great for me. You can get a consultation that takes like 2 min and they pick the right products for you.
Perhaps using a rich night cream might help too.
Mixing foundation with your moisturizer is a good idea. Make sure you moisturize and then put on the foundation.
If you don't mind me suggesting, perhaps you don't even need foundation? I find people who wear it can hardly ever get it to look natural and it just ages people unneccessarily. Tinted moisturizers are great (try Stila), and you can always conceal individual spots if zits are why you use foundation.
Good luck :)

I have your answer! I have a skin problem called Eczema. It is severely dry skin. In the winter it is the worst and I get horrible dry patches all other my face and body. After I wash my face I ALWAYS put lotion on it (I use Eucerin, highly recommended by dermatologist). People always ask me why I don't break out, its because my skin is so dry. I put it on anytime my faces feels dry and stiff. Sometimes I put it on and then apply my foundation. Anyways, I always use Covergirl. Its also the cheapest, but not in quality. I recently got a Covergirl powder foundation, which is the best product Ive ever had. I use a corrector that looks like lipstick for my dark circles. Try it, good luck.

My best advice is the Mary Kay basic skincare set. It's a cleanser & moisturizer for dry skin and then there is a full coverage foundation which helps seal in the moisture. It's not heavy feeling, just moisturizing. I'd be happy to send you samples if you'd like to try it out!

You did not say what it looked like on your skin; Do you have a medical condition that makes your skin dry? I am thinking that it may not be the makeup, but the skin care products you are using. Perhaps, changing your moisturizer?

attempt BareMinerals SPF 15 Matte initiating. it truly is def. zits services, because it truly is all mineral stuff. :) Clinique is okay. i do not somewhat like their face stuff, yet their lip stuff is large! (The face stuff purely is totally not truly worth the money...) The BareMinerals stuff is a powder initiating, and that i tips that for you, because you want to cover some problem factors. :) Liquid initiating will clog, and go over the zits, no longer round, at the same time as powder dusts round it, and over. when you consider that this can no longer be adequate coverage (it truly is basic/med coverage, and that i choose extra! Haha.), attempt a concealer too. i love earnings's Erase Paste. it truly is so creamy, and has good coverage with out being cakey. yet another large one is Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant contact. (lengthy identify a lot..?) it truly is like a felt tip pen, and concealer comes out of the end. it truly is somewhat expensive, :( yet SOOO somewhat truly worth the money! yet in case you do not wanna spend $50, choose the Erase Paste. i wish this helps you, good luck!

Try Chanel - it's specially formulated for more mature skin, so you shouldn't have a problem.
Excellent coverage too.
