I left my car's front mask on for days after it rained and I've seen clouds or watermarks that has faded the hood's color. Do you know of any cream or way to fix it? or my painting has oxidized permanently? help!!

I left my car's front mask on for days after it rained, and when I removed it I saw clouds or watermarks under the mask due to the wet mask. I waxed many times and the marks still there. Any help or suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Your mask or 'bra' is trapping moisture underneath causing premature clear coat fading. You may be able to partially restore it with some fine polish and wax but be warned: it will happen again and will eventually lead to permanent paint damage. Wouldn't you rather have bugs and some stone chips vs that hideous bra covering up the front of your car? The logic of those damn things always escaped me...

Buy some polishing compound at the auto store. Wal Mart sells it too. Very inexpensive, about $2.00. Make sure the car is clean, and then follow the directions on the can. Basically, rub it on with a damp cloth in circular motion. It is best if you use a buffer, but unless you are skilled with a buffer you can take the paint off your car.
When you have polished your car (and if done by the hand method, you have put in a fair amount of work), apply a wax. For this problem I would recommend a wax that is designed for oxidation. Turtle wax works well for that as it has a small amount of a paint thinner substance in it.
Then if you really want to finish it off, buy a GOOD paste wax and wax the entire car (even the area that was just waxed with the cheaper wax).

It's probably just frosting of the clear-coat. You can buy a can of wax for $15 and buff it out with two buffing pads. Cheaper than that will be no good. But before you wax it, be sure to clean it REALLY well. It may just be a residue. In any event, you don't want to buff dirt into your coat. When it comes to waxing, remember Karate kid-- wax on, wax off, wax on, wax off.

Just buff the marks out. They are removeable, just requires a little elbow grease. ;)
