She is latching on right it is just caused from them using the upper lip. DO NOT PULL IT OFF! It will fall off on its own time and it will really hurt her if you do. I had to ask the doctor myself and it did fall off in a couple weeks. Almost all babies get it just more seem to when they breastfeed. You are doing a great job.

Sounds like she is not latched on right and as a result has a blister on her lip. Sometimes when that happens the mom is the one with the blister! When your baby latches on make sure both her lips are sticking out like duck lips. And when she sucks it should always feel like a tug not a pinch. Good luck.

You don't need to do anything about it.
Just watch that baby isn't sucking in the lip with latch on. If she is, then use your finger to turn the lip out where it belongs.
It's pretty common for them to get that little blister.

You are doing it right, sometimes they get their lip pulled in while nursing just look to see. My daughter got the same thing and she was latched on properly. It did fall off on it's own.

It's completely normal. All four of my children had it at some point in time. It happened whether they were breast or bottle fed. I just has to do with the constant pressure on their lips due to sucking.

Neither of my breastfed babes eer had this. Are her lips flared out when she nurses? If she is sucking them in she may be giving herself blisters. To fix it gently use your figer to apply pressure and flip them out while she is nursing.

Nothing - don't worry about this blister. It will go away once the baby learns to suck better and your flow will in sync with his needs.

Ask your physician, could be just a matter of using udder/bag balm (yes if it's safe for cows it's safe for women) or lip balm, not seeing it I'd say you don't want to risk an ifection.
