i have a friend he was married to my best friend before she passed away he is now dating this woman i cant stand at first it was just because she wasnt my friend but i got past that and have tried but this woman is impossible to like she acts like a 16 yr old always laying on him and sitting on his lap in front of people and she never talks to us girls when we get together she acts like shes to good she also doesnt pay any attention to his kids or there feelings for instance she comes over and has sex with him while they are home they are teens but still.i know part of this is his fault too but she is just so impossible to like. and yet she is always at all our get togethers ect none of us like her. we had a xmas party sat night and she laid on his lap the whole time and slept and wouldnt talk to anyone then she got up when time to leave and never even said bye or thanks ect my question isnt about whos fault or ho to make her change its how do i act like i like her? i cant stand her

if she's nerveous- ice scating she'll be able to go out of her shel and have fun
or get her drunk, then she'll be fun

if he is a really good friend, then you shouldn't have to pretend! seems to me, she is behaving like an idiot! i mean there is the usual lovey dovey stuff when people meet etc etc but not to the extent of lap sitting. also looks as if she my be insecure? and hence the need to cling to her man all the time. She may even feel insecure being around you girls knowing that there was history with your best friend and her current partner. It may take time to warm up to her but if it ain't working, you dont need to put up with it, and once she gets the msg, who knows, she might make an effort.hope this helps?

She sounds like she is only interested in getting what she wants and very unsocial. that is definitely a challenge!
I bet if someone went up to her and paid a lot of attention to her it would totally floor her! Just keep talking to her, even if she does not like it. Try to get her in the kitchen with you and some of the other girls. Then she will have to come out of her shell and talk. Ask her questions about her life. If you shower her with attention, she will either never come back again, or start to open up and talk to you girls.
Really, really go out of your way to make her included.

Why do you have to pretend to like her? They're your feelings and only you are responsible for them and only you can be true to them. It also sounds like this is his and her business to figure out. I realize you may miss your friend and all and I am sorry for that. But obsessing over someone else's behaviour is not good for YOU, let alone your friendship with this man. Scrutinizing her actions under a microscope and judging her is counterproductive in so many ways.

unless its going to start world war 3, i would voice your opinions tactfully because i dont think either of the two you are mentioning are acting like adults, but also realize its not your life and maybe thats how they show each other affection, however vulgar and distasteful that may be. good luck and hope that things work out for the best!

Actually you do not have to pretend.....we must accept eachother as the way we are but that does not mean you have to stand eachother.....this life it is full of decitions...full of convictions...and we must learn to give friendship to who we desire we are not compel to do so if we do not want to....but this does not means that because of that you will not be human or you will not talk to people anymore....in my case I talk to everybody...but not everybody it is my friend...I talk more with the ones I like I talk less with the ones I do not like ...you get it ...but my advise is never stop talking to no one and peace it is something that we must look or give specially if it is in our hands

its hard to act like u like someone when u dont...i think you should be yourself...you dont have to like her just be respectful...hi how are u? and thats it...when u leave good seein u..bye u kno....u cant really stop ur friend from being friends with this person i assume soo just try to deal with her the least amount of time as possible
