There were no WMDs.

There was already declassified information released by the CIA. The CIA admitted that their intelligence about Iraq having WMDs is faulty. This came about last year when people turned increasingly critical of the war. Actually, this confidential CIA information was initially exposed to the media by certain members of the Democratic Party, long before the congressional elections. And the CIA was then forced to declassify it because of increasing pressure from the media.

I have even seen on CNN that President Bush himself admitted to this faulty information in a speech on one of his press conference. But in the same speech, he still insisted that going to war in Iraq is the right thing to do, to remove Saddam Hussein from power, and to put Iraq to a path toward freedom and democracy.

See CNN News link below about this issue.

I also do not believe people saying that WMDs were secretly transported transported by trucks from Iraq to Iran. It was very unlikely. Consider this bit of history:

Iraq had been in a bitter war of attrition with Iran from 1980 to 1988 (Iran-Iraq War). It was a ferocious war to the death where both countries had lost more than a million of their soldiers from each side, and where both of their capitals Baghdad and Tehran were devastated by intense bombing from the air by each other's air-force. It was also the time of bloody dogfights between their fighter planes high above the Persian Gulf. That unfortunate war was started by Saddam Hussein himself. It was also a time when U.S. was secretly supplying weapons to Saddam Hussein because of the U.S. feeling of hostility towards Iran caused by the hostage-taking of Americans by Iran the year before (Iran Hostage Crisis in 1979).

So it was unlikely that Saddam would easily trust Iran to hide Iraq's WMD's for him. If it was any other country, I would be less sceptical. Syria or Egypt perhaps?. But definitely not Iran.

I remember when Colin Powell was on TV showing the American people the supposed weapons factories and showing those with semi-trucks pulled up and leaving in great quantities. I have no reason to doubt Colin Powell, I believe the Iraqis had the weapons of mass destruction, but that they ended up with some of their neighboring countries. Saddam was a shrewd ruler and was dodging the bullet as far as the inspectors and the WMD's.

Let's see:
There was suspicious movement prior to the war in Iraq...into Syria, Jordan, and even Iran. Each truck shipped out of the country was waved through with orders from Hussein.
In addition to that, I have heard from people who have BEEN to Iraq that the warehouses were found, and had recently been cleaned out.
The weapons WERE there.

definately not being reported by the drive by media...

i have a reletive in the forces, and he keeps trying to yell how they have found profound amounts of evidence showing the transportation of these wmds to iran... plus they have some evidence that soon after the war was clear and over, they were burried. its like a needle in the worlds largest sand box.

When will people see that...

They go on and on about "liberating" them...but why are we only "liberating" countries with enormous amounts of oil....

Why did Haliburton (Cheney's company) get all the contracts....

If you don't find that fishy.....you are ignorant!!!
