I would guess she "flew" off to socialize, realizing that the world is a big place for such butterflies, such as herself. And off she flew.
But perchance maybe she will fly back again. An alight on you're windowsill.
Or a nice wallflower may be a more interesting bloom than you once pondered.
Either way, things will alas, work out, my friend.
And maybe the shrinking violet will be perhaps holding a tissue to dry that bit of glistening from thy eye. If she wilt.
