Not necessarily. My mother started getting gray hairs when she was 17 and first got one when I was about 7. I think it has more to do with pigmentation, not the aging process. I know many people who have birthmarks on their skulls, have lighter hair growing out of that area.

People can have gray hair early on. I'm a hairstylist and one of my clients was an early twenty something with a full head of gray hair. She didn't color it because it was too much trouble and it looked cool in a weird way. So, usually yes, but not always.

It can be true. My uncle was completly gray by the age of 19

I dont know about 1st grade... but my husband is 20 and has grey hairs.

My daughter had a couple of white ones in kindergarten.....she has very dark hair so they stood out, I plucked them....
