What change, other than the new faces in congress, has taken place?

The old set of law makers just adjourned and the new set has not begun to legislate.

Too many folk are eager to find fault too soon. It might be appropriate to "wait and see." Perhaps there will be some pleasant surprises. There certainly can't be any worse than those we've seen in recent years.

Of course the answer to your question is that Americans voted for a change in the control of the house and senate, in hopes that the course of action America has chosen to pursue in the past can be reversed in the very near future.

It meant that alot of Americans disagree with the way the goverment is running the country. Since the Republicans had a majority in both houses at the time, many Americans voted for Democrats.

According to the article, it means the Republican idiots were replaced with Democratic ones. No, I am not happy with Nancy. I think I have made that clear here earlier, several times,

The change I am hoping to see is some reversal, I hope, of the assaults on the Constitution made by the Admin & former Congress. I'm not naive enough to expect anything more. Hell, I'm not even naive enough to expect what I just said I hoped to see.

Maybe if we keep voting for change, the current politicians will get the idea that if they are bad enough, we will fire them. No matter how bad the newly-elected group turns out to be, I will be happy that we fired the last group.

I'm sure it had more to do with their dirty diapers. Mean, yes.

But Sloppy kind of ticked me off. Out of those "hot spots," which one has been a true-blue Christian democracy since China went Communist? Which one did Carter kick out of the UN? Which one is our best friend? Uh--Taiwan.

"Texas Gov. George W. Bush was hit with a surprise quiz on foreign affairs and scored only 25 percent.

The Republican presidential front-runner sat down Wednesday with WHDH-TV, the NBC affiliate in Boston, and was asked to name the leaders of four current world hot spots: Chechnya, Taiwan, India and Pakistan.

He was able to give a partial response to just one: Taiwan."
