Yes, I know three people who learned the piano with very little instruction. One young man that I know - he is about 35 now - can play anything you can hum. He is incredible, yet he reads no music. He just knows how to play. Practice, practice, practice, and lots of talent and hard work, a person can learn. If you are tone deaf or otherwise challenged, it would be most difficult to learn.

Yes, you may learn to play by ear, or you may get a beginners book and work your way through it reading all the instructions carefully, one page at a time of course.I went through books by myself, also, you need to get music flash cards and learn the notes on the keyboard and the music notation instantaneously so you don't have to use slow slogans to figure out the notes.

anything is possible with hard work. you could try getting some teaching books. learning how to sight read first would definantly be a good way to start. practice, practice, practice.
