i think some honey foils will give your hair a sun kissed look and lighten up your complexion allowing your big brown eyes to shine. good luck.

Book an appointment. Before you go, check out hairstyles on the web or in a magazine. Do you know that they make magazines SPECIFICALLY for hairstyles? (I was amazed too) Pick out a few you like, and take them with you. Ask your hairdresser what (s)he thinks is possible. Make sure you get what YOU want. (I turn into a mindless twit when my butt hits the chair.) If you are a low-maintenance person, DO NOT let anyone give you a style with lots of mousee, gel, etc.

That's the best I can do without a pic... but you are lucky... with your features, just about anything will suit you.

Oval face is good with almost any kind of hairstyle, depending on your body too. You can try to have it layered in the front with side swept bangs (long bangs, meaning that the length should be below your nose and above your chin) If you have a high forehead, then you should try shorter bangs, otherwise they look odd.

As for highlights, In my opinion you may try a copper - like color around the face and some in the back.

Sounds like you only need a little shaping and maybe light highlights, I love my long hair, I can pile it on top of my head, braid it, just reshaping made a horrendous change in mine. Keep it clean and buy some SHINE to put on it to look healthy. Good Luck!

ooh... I would recommend getting your hair cut to your shoulder and getting a few dark golden highlights done... shorter hair can be extremely flattering, especially to rounder face shapes.

I say go for bold highlights and a tiny trim if needed.
