you breast can leak the clear stuff up to a year, if I pinched mine when my baby was 12 months (dried up after 2 weeks) I would stil get clear liquid. Totally normal, after 12 months or so it will disappear, just another joy of motherhood

As has been noted, the "leaking" is proof you didn't dry up. If you want to stop paying through the nose for formula, you could probably start nursing her again. (I'm not suggesting cold-turkey, but the way to increase your supply is to let her nurse.)

Do you WANT to nurse her? If so, La Leche League can help you relactate. So can the Lactation Consultant at your local WIC office. (By the way, both of these are FREE!)

If not... I've heard from some women it's taken them over a year (after weaning) to completely dry up. Any nipple stimulation will promote milk production, so tell hubby hands off.

I believe this is called colostrum, and it's normal. You're not completely "dried up" yet. Go to the doc to get info on when it will stop....but your body knows it should still be producing milk, so it's trying to do so.

It should go away. If he is playing and you know sucking them regularly they won't because they think it is for baby. Honestly I'm not sure because mine never dried up, ask doctor or health department or the Laleche? you know the breastfeeding experts.

It means you didn't dry up! That is actually colostrum, much like you have when the baby is first born before your milk comes in.
It will go away on its own, but it may take a while.

Yes this is normal, but everyone is different, I was in the same boat but it took about 5 weeks.
