I personally don't know either of them (what I mean is their true behavior, not with the press following them, etc.) This doesn't mean I like them but I think Paris Hilton is smarter. This is in the sense that she is a making a name for herself. She has become famous now, not only for having money, but also for various reasons. She has several perfumes, a jewelry line, a TV Show, a movie, a record label, an album and other things. Nicole Richie on the other hand hasn't had as much time in the spotlight. Paris Hilton knows what to do to make herself big. Her sex tape, whatever, Paris has done a lot and will keep doing it to keep herself an "it" girl.

PARIS HILTON for sure! ;) everyone thinks she's dumb...and i mean she is...but not as dumb as everyone says. and at least she wasn't stupid enough to get so thin that she looked like a freakin skeleton *cough* nichole richie *cough*

From what I see in interviews, I'd have to say Nicole. She actually speaks. In interviews with Paris she can't even form a sentence, every other word is a ummmmm., or that's hot!

I don't think they are stupid, but not smart either maybe they just act stupid in front of camera. They both know how to market themselves in the industry. But since Paris is slightly more successful, I guess she is less stupid than Nicole.
