i'll be 28 in january, so i guess that's close enuf to answer your ?. truth is i'm still not sure what i want. i still feel too young to want to get married but i don't like playing the field. i cant speak for other women but its strange when you think you have found what you thought you wanted and it turns out that it doesn't really make you happy. a tad depressing but true.

23 here, but I think I can give a good go at it.

All I really wanted before I met my current boyfriend was someone to be interested and encourage me in the things I was doing (going to school at the time).

I wanted someone that was my emotional equal that didn't want to play the "well if I call him now then he'll think I'm desperate, so I'll wait three days and then blame him.." kind of thing. I know 30 year old women doing the same thing!

i wanted someone ambitious that could put a sentence together, and someone that was personable that I could carry on a conversation with and not be mortified to take in front of my friends (not simply physical...just not neanderthallish.)

If you're having that much difficulty meeting women, I would recommend sitting down with your female friends (or close co-workers) and confide in them. Ask for constructive criticism and if they all say something like "you're really smart..but your breath is HIDEOUS" then you know what's holding you back.

Also just relax about trying to find a wife and just enjoy meeting people. Good luck!

Specifically....

1.) He needs to have a job. Preferably a good one. No managers at McDonalds etc....

2.) He needs to be a good lover. I can teach some but the will to try has to be there.

3.) He has to be funny/amusing. I enjoy a good laugh!

4.) He has to be good to me. I don't need an angel. Naughty boys have their charm, but his core needs to be good.

I am currently hiding out in Utah. In the bars...in the grocery store...out in the woods...in the coffee shop...and sometimes even in the library!

First of all, it's no crime to be unattatched over 29. Draw up a list of qualities you would like in a mate. Be realistic. Once you have your list, put it away. Your mate will come when you aren't looking.

Someone kind, who has a passion in life outside of a relationship, good with animals and kids, a sense of humor and very sweet to me.
