As Prof Kevin said, it is now no longer called Zaire, but the Democratic Republic of Congo (also known as Kinshasa). It may also be called Congo, but don't confuse it with the much smaller country to the west of it, which is also known as Congo (Brazzaville). As everyone has said, it is in Africa, and the Equator runs through it. Below are Angola and Zambia. Above it are the Central African Republic, Sudan, and Uganda (to the northeast). It is a fairly large country, so you should be able to find it quite easily. Hope this helped.

It's in Africa. It used to be called Congo and was re-named Zaire. It's now also known as Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire). Check out this map:

Of course is't in Africa, but on some maps it may be difficult to find because it's called Zaire or Congo. Dont be comfused with The Rep. of Congo.

Yes, Zaire is in Africa. In my globe it says, Dem. Rep. CONGO (Zaire) and the captical is Kananga.
