Are the lives of Filipinos in U.S and Europe really like a bed or roses?

or they just making it out to be like that just to make other filipinos who are still in the Philippines envious???

I once had a friend who went to States and when she came back she said it was sooooooooo great and there are a lot of pretty clothes and shoes and she bought it a low prize and that the food was good and everything was awesome and that there are a lot of good things there which aren't in the Philippines. I was so envious. And I don't know if it was that great coz I've talked to some people too who have been living in the States for many years and they don't say things like that.

I wonder if my former highschool friend was making me envious.

So what's life really like for filipinos who work and live in the U.S. and in Europe?

I've talked with some filipinos living outside the US. And one of them told me she had a friend who went to USA, got a job, and 8 months later bought a house. Of course, she was very envious of her friend. And she too wanted very much to go to USA.

I explained to her that buying a house in USA after working for only 8 months is not the same as buying a house in the Philippines. In the Philippines, people either have to pay cash or borrow money for a relatively short period of time such as 1 to 3 years in order to buy a house. But in USA, people usually borrow for 25 to 30 years. And during all this time people have to fear for their jobs and their income, because loosing a job can also mean loosing your house to the bank.

It's true that people in USA have a much higher standard of living than people in the Philippines have. But this doesn't mean that people in USA are more happy or more comfortable in their lives.

When you have to work like a slave and fear for your job every day, then being relatively rich is not a bed of roses for anyone.

Life is great for Fillipinos in the USA. If you're a Catholic Filipino you can expect to be welcomed with open arms with little fear of racism.

I'm not sure about Muslim Filipinos.

Not to mention any job landed here would net more money a week than the typical monthly salary in the Philipines. There are still problems though and I'm keen on those problems so I'll defer to others on this subject.

Of course your friend says that life is great after a short trip. The contrast between life in the Phillipines and America was a recent memory for her.

When talking to ANY immigrant who has been here a long time they will eventually absorb the typical problems and gripes that any other normal American has which is why they may not be as enthusiastic about life here, a few also may not like life here at all but I have found this to be the exception rather than the norm.

I can only truly speak for myself as the son of Immigrants myself is that life in the USA is great!

They live and work. They work hard. They work a lot. Just like the rest of us. They also have to deal with racism, mistaken race (everyone who is Asian here is automatically either Chinese or Japanese), language barriers...

Life in the US is no bed of roses for anyone.

definite that's stressful to describe common issues like this i understand by using fact i'm out of the country additionally on the 2d. Filipinos are good style of lot from different nationality. by using fact of this we are noted as Filipinos, Fili pilipit ang isip. i think of that's honest we pampered our love as quickly as lower back domicile mutually as we used 2d hand cloths and consume from a canines plate right here in out of the country. They deserve the solid existence that's the used working out of the country besides. Kung hindi ka nagabroad do you think of they could have that style of way of existence? of direction no longer. as properly, all of us die as quickly as so why no longer make each and every thing right here in the international as tender and friendly as attainable for our love ones. by using fact of this we are noted as BAGONG BAYANI.
