we did a lab in bio today and we had to get our cheek cells then look at it through a microscope and then we had to examine a thin piece of onion and elodea too. then we had to draw what we saw. what are the independent dependend and controlled variables? is the indpendent looking under the microscope? plz help!

There aren't any variables. All you did was observe the slices. Variables need to be introduced. For example, if an onion was grown in the dark, and another in the light. Then light would be one variable.

Perhaps the type of cell is the variable?
