or just the most hypocritical company, ever?

"Whatever it is, get it on Ebay" my ***. Over 80 categories of items are banned. Millions of items.

Which is fine as a policy to have. It just doesn't mesh with the slogan.

Why am I pissed? I'm trying to buy a harmless BOARDGAME for weeks now. Apparently, it is too offensive for Ebay. Can you believe that?

So - evil or just hypocritical?

What boardgame? Just curious...

I have seen alot of stuff on Ebay that would be considered more offensive than that! I see naked pictures of women when I am searching for things completely unrelated.

Ebay can be a pain in the rear. I have trouble with them because if I buy something and the seller never gives me feedback after I pay and I don't get the item I can file for not receiving the item but if I give them negative feedback they can do it to me too. That doesn't seem fair because I did my part. I paid but they didn't get my item to me....They should change that. Also the fact that people sell an item super cheap and jack up the shipping to keep their seller's fees down. That's sleazy...

I think Ebay is evil but I still love to shop on it. I am limited on how much I can go out thanks to a seizure disorder so Ebay is a very cool alternative....

It isn't what it uesd to be. When I joined in 1996 it was a one man show run by some guy named Pierre. (probably rich beyond belief by now)
A "big time" seller was anyone with a feedback rating over 100, and pretty much anything was allowed. Now that ebay is high profile with stockholders, they have to be politically correct.
I made a lot of money selling on ebay until the company started selling stock.

no they lie to make money and get as much attention they can possibly get
you are just an innocent victim like all of us here who believe ads
the ad was meant to make you think by "it" that you can get any banned items too, which is the exacy opposite they try to cover up because of similar complains like yours
they lie to get people's attention, time and money, & creating needs
