I wouldnt push him...you really want to push someone to marry you...set a limit to how long you will wait and let him know_

You shouldn't push anyone in that area but in todays life styles I don't think it is wrong if a man and a woman kind of know they will get married one day and the woman does the asking. But I'd much rather have the man ask when he is ready then you know you aren't guilting him into it.

On my 27th birthday, my g/f who was 17, gave me an antique
gold pocket watch...On the watch were engraved our names, her
name with my surname...I took the hint and asked her to marry me about 3 minutes later...We were married about 6 months later, shortly after her 18th birthday....
We had our first kid when she was 20...
It worked out just fine...
We had/have 3 wonderful sons...
My wonderful wife died a few years ago before she turned 40.
My beautiful antique gold pocket watch still watches over me from the mantle...

At one point yes I was definitely thinking about marrying my best friend, for reasons I'm going to refrain from sharing because I'm the only one other than him who understands and appreciates it. Unfortunately though he and I lost touch because we now live pretty far apart. I really think though you should be in love with someone and be ready for a lifetime commitment though.

I asked my hubby to marry me. We have been married 18 years. If you love each other, it doesn't matter who does the asking.

No because my best friend is a girl and I am a girl and that wont work. I like men.
