I just started on the pill, and this is day 3 of the Sunday start.

I took the pill today exactly 20 minutes later than normal...

Will this affect its function? Or would it moreso affect it if it was more like one hour, or a day late?

Thanks.

I think several hours or a day late would cause a problem. Twenty minutes shouldn't have any effect at all, except I know some girls who have breakthrough bleeding if they don't take the pill at exactly the same time every day. When I take it fluctuates in a sort of half hour to hour period in the morning, and I've never had any problem.
If you have another day where you're a few hours late, though, call your pharmacist and make sure it will still be okay.

None whatsoever. Just relax. A pill will be effective for 24 hours more or less from the time you've taken it. You cant ovulate within 20 minutes. If you were a day late, then you need other protection than the pill for 24 hours.

Hun as long as you take it everyday your all set. I usually take it when I get up and some times it varies from 10 minutes to and hour. I've had no problem at taking it at different times. I just don't suggest taking more then an hour after the normal time. Also check the pills you have. Mine if I miss one day they say to take both pills the next day. Some don't recommend that. Check what your pills say.

Good luck.

Twenty minutes is fine. Even the strictest ones give you an hour leeway, and some of them you can take up to 12 hours late, though you generally get some spotting, if you do that. I start getting cramping if I'm about 5 hours late taking mine.

hey...it shouldn't really affect it ..but still use other forms of protection(condoms). as most pill's phamplets say as soon as you remember to take the pill that you've missed. Do so, as long as it isnt more than 2 days missed.. Like say you forgot one day...it's ok if you have to take 2 pills in one day. But always use other forms of protection epsecially if you've just started.

no, since you just started the pill i would recommend trying to take it at the same time but things come up. I have gone a whole day without taking it on accident. I set my alarm on my cell phone to remind me or put it next to my tooth brush
