Yup, you need to understand that most present no threat, and there are many you don't see or are aware of, even inside our bodies (very tiny) that serve a purpose. Just stay healthy, eating good food and getting proper rest is the best thing for a healthy immune system, keeping your living quarters clean, using bug repellents with natural ingredients that are non toxic (repellents with toxic ingredients are worse for you and the enviroment than any insects they might repel). I used to feel the same way about spiders, I only kill those indoors or that violate my "personal space", but they exist as part of the food chain for a reason. Like it or not we share this earth with "all creatures great and smmall" and they really have as much right to exist as your or I, until it becomes an issue. And then it's "sorry, Mr. Cow, I'm hungry", then I eat the cow, the mosquito bites me, and depending what it carries for parasites (smaller bugs) I could catch a disease, die, and end up being eaten by other tiny organisms if not cremated first. It's part of the natural world, you just need to grasp realistically, a place so laced with insecticide no bug can live will probably injure other living things, like people and pets, as well.
You need to visit the mountains in late spring, when the black flies swarm and you can constantly wipe them off your face, then you'd gladly go back to whatever bugs you see and not mind it so much.

yes. One should not ever kill any living entity unnecessarily. Every living thing has a soul. The illness is that you do not know your actual position as spirit soul, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul. Animals and bugs eat sleep mate and defend and so do we. They have a rite to live as do you. Your fear is unnecessary. I don't like bugs but I put them in a cup or on a paper and put them outside. It is a little inconvenient but it is compassion. If you don't stop this you will lose all compassion. Plus one gets karma (reaction to their actions) for all that killing. Do you want to have that done to you. Think about it. Don't blame a disorder. Take appropriate action. Ask yourself why you want to cause pain to others. Serial killers start with bugs then animals then humans. STOP it NOW! Read Bhagavad-Gita As it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada to help you understand the Laws of Karma and the soul and our purpose as human beings.
