The idea of forever doesn't frighten me, because I know that when my body dies, my soul will go to heaven which is a good 'forever.' I look forward to it, but I don't particularly want to go there any time soon.

Yes, depending upon what it is, it is scary. Forever is a LONG time. For other things, sometimes the possibilty that there won't be a forever is even more frightening. :)

Forever as in a relationship? I'd hate to be tied down to the same person no matter how much I like them. But if it's forever as in immortality I'd very much enjoy the idea of living forever.

It depends on the context. I'm not scared of promising to love my fiance forever, but I'm sure there are other things that I wouldn't like to last forever.
