of metal foil protected from air disturbances in a jar. when the ball is touched by a charged body, the leaves that normally hand down spread apart. why? explain in detail, draw a diagram if necessary.

the charged body will pass its charge to the rod and the leaves, as they receive the same charge they get repell (like charges repell each other)
