what do i need to reduce the 200 amp main on the pole, to 100 amp so i can hook up the main wires from my home?

I am keeping my home a 100 amp service, not converting it to 200 amp.

The wiring is fine and will not need changing. If the main disconnect breaker is rated 200 amps it will have to be replaced with a 100 amp breaker for proper protection to your panel.

You don,t have to do anything but hook it up. Your mobile home already has a 100 amp protection main breaker. which means it will not alow you to PULL more than 100 amps no matter what is supplied. you have what is known as balanced power, with a 100 amp service package. Some places install 200 amp supply for homes with ALL electric homes. You are just fine the way you are.

200 amp service means that the power source is capable of delivering 200 amps if needed. Your mobile home is wired for a 100 amp service. If you plug in something that tries to draw more than 100 amps (air conditioner & welder & oven...lol), your main breaker will trip. You are protected in the current configuration. If it was the other way around, (house at 200 and source at 100) you would have to make modifications.

You will also have to have it inspected before they will put the meter in. unless you already have service.

Like TJ said you don't have to change anything. Your 100 amp breaker will only handle 100 amps before it trips is all that means. Ampers is the rate of pressure on the lines. Most service disconnects near the meter is a 200 amp breaker. Your house breaker is just a lower protection which is fine. Some houses including mobile homes don't have inside "MAIN" breakers.

Um, you don't.

First, the electical company should be doing the hookup.

Second, the limit would be in your breaker box, not the service from outside. If you're wired for 100 amp service, then you're wired for 100 amp service, and hooking up to the outside will only get you 100 amps.

Nothing change nothing.

If the pole is 200A and your house is 100A just hook your house up to the bottom of the 200A pole service.
