They are 4-0 without Kobe and have the best record in the pacific! They are currently 27 points ahead of the best defensive team in the league this season (Huston Rockets). They won against the Spurs last night, totaly destroyed them! What is happening here?

Finally! There is a solid bind, a chemistry that has glued together and synchronized the Lakers. The athleticism of Kobe is ever so present. Lamar Odom, just last season, I was and I'm sure many LAL fans were, upset with the fact that he was inconsistent. Thankfully, he is inconsistent no more. He currently leads the lakers percentage wise in rebounds, assists. He is that magic, the missing ingredient that the Lakers so desperatley sought. We finally have a second man again!!!!. Aside from these two spectacular individuals, we have Luke Walton, who leads the Lakers in 3 pointers with an average of 57%. He is a smart player, whose knowledge of the game, has improved his on-court abilities. He can penetrate the defense, his shots are on point, and offensively as well as defensively, he's brilliant. He's an asset to the Lakers. Kwame Brown and the youngin' Andrew Bynum are key to the Lakers and choosing Bynum was definately a smart move and a great investment. Jordan Farmar, knows the game very well, Smush Parker is fast, and when he wants to play...he plays well. Ronnie Turiaf, i love his energy. He's full of team spirit and just brings a burst of fresh air to the team. Mo Evans, Brian Cook are amazing. Rodmanovich is amazing. Sasha Vujajcic, I wish we could see more of him, because it definately appears as if he's losing what he once brought to the team, when we were desparate. Overall, the Laker francise has built a team that is here to stay. Our 2006 team is a competitive team that wants that title, and at this point, they rightfully deserve it. The Lakers are and will be my team!!! Lamar injured his knee tonight, so let's all pray that he gets better ASAP!

Well I think a big reason is that they have a huge number of their games at home at Staples Center. But the main reason is that this team has just really improved and gotten used to the triangle offense. Luke Walton right now is playing the best basketball from his career and leading the league in 3pt%. Lamar Odom has finally become comfortable playing with Phil Jackson's offense and Kobe. And Kobe is playing well as always, especially coming off his injury. But Kobe has also learned to get his teammate involved rather than always shooting. Andrew Bynum is developing into a great center under the teaching of Kareem Abdul Jabbar. It's just that they have really grown as a team and their young talent is getting better and better. Look out, the Lakers are back!!

Lakers are good this season because of kobe.... lakers have always won games because of kobe scoring 40, but this year they are winning A LOT OF games because kobe stopped scoring... I mean honestly the games are less entertaining cause watching kobe get hot was incredible... but at the same time the W is much more important.... kobe said to the media he feels his teammates have reached a point where he doesnt have to carry most of the load, and following that he has become much more of a distributor and in return his team has been winning games... last year and years before since shaq left and the team got torn apart everybody was confused when kobe was injured, this year they play JUST AS GOOD... and thats great! go lakers!!

coz they're playing team ball. unlike last season where kobe was the only one handling the ball, this year everyone's getting touches which means that there is ball distribution. this benefits players like odom, walton, parker and those other guys who didn't get this opportunity last season. kobe's doing a great job too in drawing double teams and kicking it out to the open man. and oh, there's one more reason.. andrew bynum.

kobe is starting to play like a team player and the his team mates feel more involved and like they are an important part of the team. prior to this season and the end of last, it was all about kobe and however many points he had. i think the 81 point game has changed kobe in a good way and allowed him to realize what he has become.

because kobe is playing smart and also they got a very good sidekick like odom.... they are finally using his ability even though he got injured today...they are still winning without him and bynum is very good now...he is full of potential....
