$1k apiece ought to do it. There are a couple of problems with your question. You don't tell us how old you are now, so we don't know how far in the future your trip might be. If you're each 14 then your trip would be 4 years away. If this were true, it would be way to early to make guesses about fuel costs, etc as much can change between now and then. Also, fuel expenses aren't calculated on an hourly rate (at least not for cars). Miles divided by the average consumption rate would be a better tool to estimate this. You can have a credit card holder reserve a room for you, then pay cash when you leave. For food, plan about $75 per day per person. As for lodging, the sky is the limit. Where do you want to stay? Fleabag or luxury hotel? Impossible to guess what your intentions are. Good Luck!

that sounds like a great idea. I would bring good music, a good friend and just wing it, but I've always wanted to go to the Redwoods

Hollywood clubs are fun if you like nightlife
visit Venice Beach too...SO much fun!

Well, I live in the CA!!! u should bring some cold clothes and warm cholthes because its off & on here. u should definally go to hollywood, disenyland,and seaworld.
