I can't get it out, it is stuck and I don't want to take the sink apart just to get this out. what else can I do to get the cup out?

Turn the garbage disposal off.
Break the cup up and take the peaces out as you break them off till you can take the hole cup out.

Try pulling out the rubber boot inside the flangewhere the stopper goes. ( just grab it and pull up).
You should be able to pull it up that way. If not, try using a pair of needle nose pliars or jamb something into the cup then lift it out.

Take a heavy knife or a tool and break the cup, make sure the disposal is off and reach down with "kitchen grippers" you use on the barbecue.

Break it and pull out the pieces- the cup is not worth the hassle-D

You could try unsing a toilet plunger, or use a butter knife to try and pry it out of there. I actually had this happen once, and the plunger thing worked
