i have taken BC in the past, but i stopped for a little while. I started back up today.. i just took the first pill. How long should I wait to start having sex before it's safe?

I take Yasmine. My doc said to use an alternate form of BC for a week and after the first week I would be covered. Read the drug info that came with the pills, it should say on there.

One cycle (one package of pills), but you should double check this with your obgyn, they should give you all the 4-1-1 when you get the pills. They will talk with you about everything. Its best always to talk with your dr.

im not totally sure but i think a few weeks. Just to make sure the pill is working for you, and to let it run through your system a bit.

they say one month before it is effective and i would probably wait 2 months to be safe
