Hi, Mikey
I've been dancing seriously that is competitively for 5 years. If you count all those school activities I don't even know how long have I been dancing. Every guy who is not a dancer of my level of experience seems to be made out of cardboard, or close to that. This is not getting in the way if I want to date him, unless he is totally opposed to the very idea of dancing, says bad stuff about dancers and just being nasty about it. So accept it for now that she is way better at it at the moment and set that worry aside. It is great that you want to learn. Ask her to teach you. You will learn some dancing, and also you'll learn a lot about her in the process, i.e. how does she treat you when she is in position of power.
I think it will be great if you take a class on hiphop and show her what you learned in your first class because honestly it is hard to teach someone who doesn't have any background whatsoever. (Besides, classes are THE fastest way to learn) One just doesn't know where to start, unless she has some teahcing experience, so give her a break if she says she doesn't know how to teach.

hum, First good for you for having a go. So many guys don't. I've no idea why. A guy can be butt ugly and have 2 left feet and some girl will still dance with him.
Second, relax, it's meant to be fun remember. One mistake beginners often make is paying more attention to the steps than the music. Get the rythm fixed in your head. Listen to as much music of the style you will be dancing to as you can. Get used to just moving in time to it. If that becomes natural you're half way there. If you already listen to quite a bit of music then you've more or less got that bit sorted.
Third, if you are dancing with a partner, look at your partner, not your feet, they are on the end of your legs, they're not going anywhere else, no need to watch them, no around the room. Look at your partner, and don't chew gum, it's revolting!
Finally, you don't mention the type of dancing you do but if she is a really great dancer then that will be your saving grace. You job, as the boy, is to show off your partner. All you need to do is a few basic steps and lead her into as many opportunities to show off her fancy moves. Don't try to be too showy or clever. Every girl on the dance floor will want to dance with you I promise. Don't be too shy to ask her what she expects from a lead and remember it takes a few dances with somebody to understand how they move.
but the thing which is, as my dance teacher would say "muy muy muy importante" (he's cuban) Relax and enjoy it, it's fun remember, nothing more, and your girlfriend will be happy just that you are prepared to have a go.
Have a really great time.

I would not. C'mon wannabe Miley Cyrus fanatics! You understand that was once pole dancing. So I consider random individuals simply introduced a podium with a POLE connected to it! And Miley all a unexpected jumped on it, did stripper actions!! Get truly! That was once all a side of her efficiency. That's more often than not pole dancing to me. What a accident!!!!! MC fanatics, give up looking to protect her. She has no excuses AS ALWAYS and your men' excuses are simply LAME and PATHETIC!! How DARE she thank the lord after dancing like she's a prostitute on sale for pfftt, what, most effective $25. I swear, she will get sluttier and sluttier each yr. Haha thats humorous. MC fanatics say that she was once retaining the pole for help. Then why was once she grinding in all places it. And what, she could not have suggestion of a bigger item for suport?! BUt no!!! A stripper pole was once the very first thing she would uncover. LAME! Yeah, cross and thumbs down me. Like I supply a S**T. LOL might be she was once looking to get Nick Jonas' awareness. LOL NOT operating Miley!! He does not such as you anymore!!!

In any relationship honesty is the best policy. Have you told her, you aren't a good dancer and aren't comfortable with this? Unless she's completely shallow, she will appreciate your honesty and concern. I'm sure she would be happy to teach some basic moves, so you'll both have a good time. Maybe blow off this dance, with her giving you lessons, and promise to take her to the next one.
If she isn't interested in helping you out, maybe you need a new g/f.

Here's a great opportunity to show your "softer" side. Tell her you have two left feet and ask her to teach you a few steps. She'll fall all over herself and you'll have a ball. Enjoy!

Just ask her to teach you. This is something you want to learn for her, so her teaching you would probably be the best:]

Ask her how to dance, it might bring you a little closer or have something to talk about.

It is not embarrasing to dance, even if it looks a little funny. It is more embarrasing to back out of it.

Pretty simple, ask your GF to teach you. She will like having the power, and it will provide time for you to bond together.
