1. london calling
2. give em enough rope
3. the clash
4. combat rock

Yes, but under the strangest of circumstances.... I have been in Iraq going on 4 years. You can imagine how the proportion of girls to guys is so offf................ Many girls that would not be asked out back in the states are very sought after here. Some women have been here as long as myself and I some times wonder if it is all the attention they draw. Of course fashion is not in how you dress here but it is how you present yourself. Most expats over here have a common profile 1) Baseball cap, sun glasses, 5 day growth 2) Cargo Pants or jeans 3) Khaki shirts or just T-Shirts But for the women, the will let their 1) hair down 2) More make up than this rough environment would requrie 3) Show a lot of cleavage 4) Snug dress 5) Bare midrift 6) Panty lines Now I am in my 50's and there are a lot of young men over here that look a lot better than me so I have no expectations. However, the other day, I saw a woman that took my breath away. She was maybe late 30's 40's,,, She had shoulder lenght hair with bangs. A tank top with a beautiful cleavage showing (not too much but just right for good taste). Nice hourglass figure and hip that just set it all off just beautifully. She accented it with a pistol in a holters straped to her thigh. All eyes turned to her, many were the age of her kids I suspect. I admit I was a gawker, but I gawked with more dignity than the rest of the men around me. I had on a panama and sun glasses and sports jacket (I try the 'Panama Jack' look). I did tipped my hat and she smiled back. I will most likely not see here again, but she made my day.....

I'm so glad you've found the clash!!
London Burning, Rock the Casbah are good too.
Combat Rock is a good album or you could just get "The Singles" or their greatest hits!
Also check out joe strummer and the mesclaros. it's the leadsinger's band after the clash. it's all good stuff.
Rock on!!

You probably discovered The Clash from the Cingular Wireless commercial. I love that commercial! Rock the Casbah is the best Clash song.

The Clash! Classic from the 80's, my time period! I love when people re-discover that good music! Check out their song:
"Overpowered by Funk" They also have a version of "I faught the Law" which is really good. If you like them, you should also check out The Ramones and The Sex Pistols! Happy Listening

All good ideas, but their best stuff was on an EP called BlackMarket Clash, especially Bankrobber/Robberdub.
