Is it too early to determine the baby's sex on an ultrasound? Anyone had ultrasounds then and not been able to know or been able to know?

19-20 weeks is the usual time most women have the ultrasound to determine sex.
If the baby is hiding their bits though you may not be able to find out. I know I had a friend who couldn't find out just because her baby had their legs crossed

Definitely not too early. I am 18 weeks and wish I was having my ultrasound sometime soon. The doctor I go to only does 2 ultrasounds. And my second one wont be until 24 weeks. I told them I would pay for a third one but they said it was a hospital policy. I was so p*****.

I didn't have my ultrasound to find out what I was having until I was about 24 weeks I guess..
Some people get it done at 16 weeks..
It all depends on your doctor.. but 19 weeks isn't too early at all.

Perfect timing. The best time is at about 18-20 weeks. I have always found out my kids by 19 weeks. The only thing that would be a problem is if the baby decides to be stubborn and cross his/her legs.

no it's not too early it is usuall ydsone around 20 weeks. I had mine done at 18 weeks and found out i was having a girl. IT all depends on your babies positioning, sometimes they cant get a good look for whatever reason but more than likely you should be bable to find out. Good luck.

No, it is not too early. I was 18 weeks when I found out. The only thing is that the baby's legs may be crossed, but the genitals are formed now.

19 weeks isnt too early at all it is actually better because the baby is moving more ...i get mine done at 18 weeks next friday to find out the sex..good luck

Well I went at 20 weeks but I'm sure 19 weeks is long enough. And no I couldn't see becuz the baby was covering herself. I didn't know until last week (29).

at 19 weeks it should be o.k. i had mine at 21 but i know some people who got them at 16 and were able to find out...and week doesnt really matter...there has been times when people were 26 weeks along and still couldnt tell because of were baby was

Thats when I have my appointment to go, I am 17 weeks and go two weeks from today. The day after Christmas!!! What a Christmas present! Good Luck!
