Looking for the name of a group of stars that is directly overhead at about 10-12 pm central time(texas) that looks similiar to a dipper but is only the size of a finger tip (tiny) at arms lengthed. Appreciate any response, trying to formulate a christmas present!

It's called The Pleiades (M45 IC349), also known as the Seven Sisters. Looks like a tiny big dipper. Fascinating mythology behind the constellation.

It isn't a constellation, it is the Pleiades star cluster. Also known as the sever sisters, it forms the shoulder of Taurus the bull. The Japanese name for this cluster is Suburu. The logo for Suburau cars is a picture of the cluster.
