because everyone around me thinks college is important, and I dont see the point, I know what I want to do in life and it has nothing to do with learning academic bull**** all day. It locks you in, forces you to stay in one little spot while you take all those classes on one little subject then be a good little boy and take a job, that locks you in to that one place forever. I study and study but apparently 74% is not good enough for my history class, the professor has a propietary grading policy where you must get 21 on each test. Not a point lower. I have a 20, and I tried to retest but the testing center said I can't because I don't have a yellow slip and well.. you need a yellow slip "thats the rule". So now I fail probably. Government burahracies are so great, nothing like a bunch of people sitting in a testing room doing nothing getting paid tons to do a job Wal-mart would pay someone $5 for.

If you don't like being in college, then why are you there? Not everybody belongs in a university. There are lots of other schools that teach a trade, if you're not interested in the academic background that a university provides. I say leave, and do what you want. There's no sense taking up valuable space when there are tons of people wanting to get in.

Some people see it in a different light. I'm not able to go to college. I have 2 kids and another one on the way. I'm too busy saving up money to put them through college. However, it's taking me a lot longer to get a good savings going for them because I can't get a decent job because I don't have a degree. A college degree now is as valuable as a high school degree was 20 years ago. If you want to make something of yourself, you have to start in college.

Because college graduates make more than twice as much money as non-graduates. It is worth it to invest a few years in school, because you'll get paid more later and be eligible to work better jobs, or you will be more likely to be hired even if the job does not require a degree, simply because it will reflect well upon your work habits.

Knowledge is power. With that said, you don't need college. However college is a great pool of knowledge, and has opportunities to meet and work with people of different thoughts, opinions, and cultures.

yeah man, i dont know whats so great about college either and also dont know what to do in life either but i just know i want to make money without having to go through college. there are lots of rich people out there who didn't even graduate highschool. doctors take usually 8 years of that college bull **** which to me is too long in college, and same for any other profession. And there's so much money in this world i think we just have to figure out how to get it easily, of course in the good way.But i've also heard that nowadays you need a college degree to have a good paying job in life, i dont now i feel the same way

If you know what you want to do why arent you doing it? You're an adult and no one can force you to go to college.
