I copied 114 mp3 audio files in a CD with a size of 428 MB total. But I can't get it to play....

Oh! The CD plays fine in the computer.

I think you're right, because on the player, it shows as a data CD

First, the MP3's will only play on another computer or cd player that can handle MP3 mode. If you only coopied the MP3's onto a cd and did not really 'burn' them, they will not play because the music is actually put on as data, not audio.
You need to use program such as Nero or Easy CD creator to do those MP3's.

I had this same problem. I figure out the solution. I was downloading the music, and then immediately renaming the tracks which was screwing up the code. They weren't recognized by iTunes or any other programs. I tried re-downloading the tracks THEN IMMEDIATELY PLAYING THEM. They worked!! Then I renamed them. I hope this helps!
