Yes, he can, if what you did brought the company into disrepute, you were wearing a uniform or logo of the company at the time, or there is a clause in your contract that allows it.

In any case, remember that in the US, employment in most states is 'at will'. That means an employer can fire anyone with NO reason, so in this case, your point is moot. He could fire you without ever giving this as the reason. Equally, you can walk out of a job without giving notice any time you feel like it, and the employer cannot do anything about it.

Yes they can, in a way. It depends on the state you work in. Many states can fire "at will", which means they can fire you for NO REASON, and they aren't required to GIVE a reason at all. Also, if you WORK at the wal-mart where you cussed your boss out, yeah you can be fired for multiple violations of company policy.

Assuming you are an "at will" employee and have no contract stating terms of termination. Your boss can fire you pretty much for anything. If he is just having a bad day he can fire you. Of course it is bad business and will sooner or later cost him, but he has not legal duty to fire with a good reason, he doesn't need a reason at all.

The law enforcement officials had a reason to be there. Your grandfather noted as them. once on scene the officials are responsible to take command of the challenge, to change into the "authors" of the "tale", hence the note authority. Non-compliance is a criminal offense & no longer an excellent idea if freedom or respiratory is area of your existence plan. There are purely some circumstances at the same time as shootin' at a cop is legally defensible. till you've a dozen judges on the time of the taking pictures telling you it truly is criminal, i'd purely assume that "now" isn't easily a kind of circumstances. good luck surviving your next encounter!

I wouldn't do it. An employer can fire people at will in most states. It's also pretty childish to do something like that and expect no retribution.

Best Wishes,

Sue

If you live in a "right to work" state - they can fire you without giving a reason.

Your employor does'n not have to show a reason. he can just lay you off.

Cursing him out would show that you and working for his company were not compatible and that's reason to fire you. In short it's detrimental to the company's health, and reason to fire you.

yes, he can fire you, there are a number of different ways he can do it too, or he doesn't even need to give a reason.
