I would like open opinions about different types of abuse and if you think that each type affects a child in the same way. Ex: Physical abuse and Neglect-do they have the same affects. The main types i'm looking for is physical, sexual, psychological (emotional), and neglect. Do you believe the people that are being abused deserve what they are getting? Where do you think abuse is most often found (streets, ghettos, bad neighborhoods, good neighborhoods). Who is abused more, women, children, men, teens? Any other comments on anything dealing with this would be appreciated A.S.A.P. thanks!

Abuse is hurtful to all. The person who abuses has a low self esteem or wants to be in control. They need physiological help. Abuse happens in all race, all countries, all neighborhoods, in good homes, and bad homes. I have seen too much of it with children, adults, teens, and women, and men. It is not prejudice to anyone. People need to break the chain of abuse, by getting out of the situation, talking to anyone who will listen, or going for counseling.

The most effective abuse is the mental kind. Where parents tell their children that they are worthless. This sets the scene for the child's entire future in life. Physical abuse is attention. Bad attention, but still attention. Words spoken angrly to a child cause more damage than any physical abuse.

I see mostly such abuse toward children done by minority parents. Usually it is the mother because the dad runs away to find yet another woman to get pregenant.
