Be informed on whats going on in the world and pick the good of those things to talk about. Be aware of the good in others and feel free to tell a person whatever it is you see that is good. Be willing to laugh and develop a sense of humor. Just remember this: people are attracted to people who make them feel good. You dont have to jump through hoops to do that. Shy and quiet is not bad, unless you hide yourself. There's mystery about a quiet person, and that is a very interesting trait. Live up to it with intelligence and humor and if you have to fake any self confidence do it--it will be your own model for developing it. And if you wrote this question without reservation you already have within you the (ability) to develop yourself into who you want to be. Best to you.

Anyone can change if they want to badly enough. I hear working in a restaurant as a waiter/waitress is a fantastic way to get rid of shyness. Also joining mixed groups that socialize. Take up a sport for self worth boost. Mostly it starts within. Like yourself and the world will follow. Hate yourself , the world will turn to scorn.

yes you can. I was a loner/intravert as a teen. Took a lot of crap from people and never stood up for myself. As I aged, I thought that is enough of this, I am just as good as the next person. I put my self esteem into over drive, stood up for myself, became more sociable. It was hard at first, but it was mind over matter. I still have moods and become a loner for short periods of time, but the only people i hurt by doing this are my friends, they wonder what they did to make me mad at them. You will be suprised how many will like the new you.

Yes, you can change. Get out and just start talking to people. You might be surprised how easily some people get into conversations then start wanting to know about you. Get into some activities like working out cause a change in appearance can often boost one's confidence. Just remember that there's nothing to be scared of...they're just human like you and I. Take care.

Yeah, change is possible. It might take a little practice. Get used to speaking what is on your mind and making it more interesting with appropriate physical movements. That will help make it seem fun, and it is likely people will like to be around that!

I'm the same way. The only thing that helps me be more social and extroverted is to get a little alcohol in me. Just don't get to drunk because then you might act like an idiot.

You cant simply turn yourself into someone that your not, but you must simply let people know that you are a good listener, and you are interested in them. Get them to talk about themselves, give them compliments, or talk about things that you are interested in, and if they act interested, then thats good, if they are not interested in what your talking about either change the subject, or see if they do. If they start to talk about something else, go along with them. Most of all, just be yourself, and they will like you for who you are, not like you for trying to be someone else!

People don't change, they just get more and more like themselves.
Think about it, it's really very positive.
