Do you do such things as read and watch TV in bed?
You need to associate the bed with sleeping and not activities that keep you awake...
Before bedtime, try some light stretching for about 5 minutes, nothing too strenuous that will make you alert.
Have a cup of chamomile tea which will help..
There is also a herbal tea available in Australia which is called Sleepy Time and especially for that purpose...
A few drops of lavender oil on your pillow will relax you, in fact the first couple of nights it knocked me out CAUTION DO NOT USE LAVENDER OIL IN PREGNANCY...
Buy the good quality lavender oil that you buy from new age or health stores, not the cheap quality artificial ones that you get from bargain stores...
When you go to bed.. Imagine from your feet up slowly relaxing..
Imagine each part of the body is relaxing...
There are some over the counter sleep aids, some are natural which can help, including Valerian which is a natural sleep aid...
Taking these over a short period of time (normally less than a month) can sort of reset your body clock..
This worked for me to start off with..
They found out I had a sleeping disorder so I ended up on a strong sleeping pill and a strong anti depressant with sedative qualities.. I do not suggest that though..
Good Luck and Sweet Dreams....

1st: "DON'T TAKE ANY SLEEPING TABLETS!!!!!!!!!!"

Before going to sleep in bed sit in a comfortable position, and free your body. relax youself and take a deep breath. Exhale it very SLOWLY. Means 2:4 ratio (Inhale & exhale) Do it for 5 to 6 minutes. When you doing this don't think anything. For that don't try anything just leave your thought as it is. Let the mind think anything and in one point it'll stop. After that lie down and sleep. Do it for 5, 6 days it really works!!!!!!

Let me know how to get sleep also. I have four kids, including two toddler twins, that still don't sleep well. I used to work with a guy that had 5 kids that always said "I'll sleep when I'm dead". I guess that's an option.

Maybe your body is trying to tell you something, like you don't need as much sleep as you used to
