I bought my boyfriend and I tickets to the January 2nd Detroit Red Wings/ Anaheim Ducks game. This is the game with the retirement ceremony for Steve Yzerman's Jersey...Would YOU be happy if you received this as a christmas gift?

I would be, even if I'm a Flyers fan. Steve Yzerman was a very special player for the Red Wings. If your boyfriend is a fan, he should be happy. He's got a great girlfriend. Happy Holidays.

i would LOVE to get tickets for the retirement ceremony for steve yzerman for my boyfriend and i. That is one great present. it will be a great memory for you both becuz you get to see yzerman's jersey get put up in the rafters with the best wings in history like gordie howe and alex delvecchio. you go enjoy the memory and take lots of photos. as far as would i be happy to get these tickets as a present i would be over the moon. this is a wonderful experience. i hope they win that night. GO Wings. your boyfriend is lucky to have such a generous girlfriend like you. this will probably be his most memorable gift ever in his life.

I'm a huge Habs fan, if i was him i would be really happy Yzerman has been the heart and soul of the NHL for many many years he was a great all around player that love the game.I'm missing him already.

As a WIngs fan yes, but I don't like the Wings. As a hockey fan it would be fun to be part of the crowd and part of the history.

I think that's an awesome gift if he is a fan. A few years ago I got my husband tix in Pittsburgh for his fav team, since they weren't coming to my city. So yes, great gift!
