my man just kinda proposed to me on saturday, he gave me a beautiful diamond. he told me to take the ring out of the box and told me it was mine. i asked him, what does the ring symbolize and he laughed, i told him are you proposing, asking me to marry u, he laughed, i took the beautiful ring with pride and put it on my finger, since then he hasn't said anything, but compared my ring with his diamond ring. we have been together for 5 yrs and living together for 5 months.. he is a pakistani man. would that be the problem why he couldn't propose. thanks,

could be hes proposing, could also mean its just a gift for being a wonderful part of his life. OR could be his religious beliefs do not allow him to propose to you in the way we are used to. no one really knows but him :-)

Take it from a man, If he didn't say it than it's just a nice gift. Don't be mad though, we don't by diamonds for just anyone, but on the safe side, go to a jeweler and make sure its real.

I think his family is the reason he hasn't proposed. There was a women from India who was in love with her husband and pregnant with their second child, but she was burned to death in her car on her way to work,.... because the marriage wasn't pre-arranged and they didn't like that. I'd get the hell out if I were you.

maybe it is just a diamond ring, doesnt mean anything although maybe there is some ritual with a pakistani person,
