How could we possibly prove one theory or the other?

He was a tenor with a high pitched and shrill voice. He was from Kentucky so he would have had that accent. Many people who heard him speak reported that he enunciated perfectly with a voice like a trumpet.

Yeah, but it was because he had a weird chromosomal disorder called Marfan's syndrome. That's why he was so tall.
