Not jealous of my partners pet, but my ex-husband used to be so jealous of my cat, Jasper. I got him before we got married. He used to say you love that cat more than you love me.

At first I thought he was crazy but through the years, I realized that he was right. I said that he was my first kid. When I was sad or crying, he knew. He'd come jump up in my lap and comfort me. Did my husband ever comfort me when I was sad and crying? No.

As the years went on, my cat was my best friend in the world. Did he ever lie to me, cheat on me, treat me like I didn't exist, and rub my face into the ground like my husband? Never. He was always loyal and loved me to the end.

He died at 16 years old. My husband and I got divorced after 21 years. I only wish my husband had been half as wonderful as my cat.

All Jasper wanted from me was love. I don't think my husband knew the meaning
of the word.

Oh yeah, I even have an insanely jealous cat. in case you call the different cat she will chirp at you and run over. in case you're conserving the different cat she will flow slowly on suitable of the different cat till they get annoyed and flow away. i've got faith she has separation tension. She meows for unknown classes of time when I flow away. She meows while i'm interior the bathe and could bounce up and draw close on the towel on the towel bar till I come out. She does that each and each morning like clockwork.

It is actually good if your spouse/partner is good with the pets. It tells you that if they love their pets, they are a loving person.

It's hard when they give them so much attention, but its a totally different kind of love, attention and whatever else you are feeling. Give the pet attention, and see what happens.... Your partner will enjoy seeing this relationship, it will make them happy, and you may even get some enjoyment out of it too!!! :)

OH MY GOODNESS! I was too embarrassed to say it. But you said it for me. I'm as jealous of my pet with my spouse. I wouldn't say he spends more time with her, but she prefers him over me. I hope it's just some twisted mess in my head. But it really feels that way.

Wow. Yes, sometimes. Especially when all I want is a back rub, and the pets come and get in the way. .. Screw it up. And they get rubbed ALL DAY LONG, That's all. .. But then, they get rubbed SOME MORE!! ( But not me. ).. .yea, that's a sore spot, for sure.

Heh heh, if anyone should be my husband should be jealous of my cat. I know these days I tell her I love her more than I do him (but she's so sweet, how can you not? And she won't be with us much longer). But the truth is he loves her just as much as I do.
