This is a question that I have asked myself so many times. I have come to believe that most marriages there is at least one unhappy spouse. It is sad that things are this way. I for one am totally in love with my husband, but I am sooo unhappy. I cry all the time and feel empty and lost and deep down I know one day I am going to have to make a decision as to stay or leave. But my relationship isn't a good one--it is abusive.
If you are in a relationship and are unhappy. Reevaluate the things that are making you unhappy. Try talking them over with your spouse. Communication is the best key to a successful marriage.
My mother always told me that the "magical sparkle" that once brought you two together kind of disappears. You learn to become your own best friend. You two kinda work together to support each other, etc. I hope all of this makes since to you. I hope everything works out. Pray.

Happily married, yes.
Totally happily married, well, I don't think I've ever been totally happy with anything. It's not like we never fight or disagree, or that there aren't things I wouldn't change if I ever got to be in charge of the world.
A happy marriage isn't the same thing as a perfect marriage. In fact, if you're holding out for perfect, I can pretty much guarantee you're never going to be happy.

I am acutally happier than I ever imagined. I was so afraid of marriage and I had heard a lot of horror stories about the first year. I have never been happier in my life. Although, I will say it takes effort. When I come home and I am tired and don't feel like making dinner I do it anyway. In the end, my husban makes me feel like the worlds best cook and he makes me happy that I did make dinner. Not just dinner, but every time I feel like doing something that will make him happy......he shows me that it was worth it. I married the right man. I fall in love with him over and over again every day.

My parents were happily married for over 40 years.
My sisters and brother are all married and happy.
I'm still in love with my husband after 31 years.
The problem is you don't hear about the happy ones you only hear about the ones that don't work.
Kinda like the news...you only hear the awful stories.

Me, I am!!!! Over 27 years and as in love if not more so today than back in the complete romance stage. Think of what long term marriages offers a person; one stablity, a person we can count on no matter what, unconditional love, a person that knows you almost if not better than you know your self. A person you can be relaxed with and just enjoy lifes journey. So answer is there is at least one other out here and it is me

I am very happily in love with my husband, he is my best and only friend, when my friends turned their backs on me he was the only one there. We have been married 7 1/2 years. All those years we have been very, very happy. Hopefully yours will be the same!
