My daughter is 18 & is in her senior yr at HS. She has treated me as though she hates me for a long time now.

Question

I have been the enemy since she was 11. I don't even have to be there & a problem is me. I work 2 jobs to try to give her all that I can. I have allowed her to dress the way she wants. She picks her cloths out at HOT TOPIC. She wears her hair the way she wants - in the color she wants. Now tonight she & I faught & it came to physical fighting. I faught back. I had to. She then called the police & they took her to a friend's home. Now what? I am scared. She has been my whole life. I just want back the little girl she used to be. I don't know when or why she started to hate me, but she does. I am the villian in all of her life. She sees me as her enemy. I did raise her to be independent. But I did not raise her to treat me this way or anyone. She has respect & kindness for everyone except me. I don't know what to do now or what will happen?

Picture her as a ship moving thru the water. YOU are her rudder. By giving her everything, she has NO RUDDER.

So she is moving forward into adulthood with no one to guide her.

Let her move forward in life. When she finds out HOW TOUGH it is to be an adult, she will start coming back to you for help and guidance. Don't chase after her. Let her come to you.

stay calm set some rules for her when she gets back if she hits you you call the police you will the have to go to court but if you don't charge her for the abuse she wont get taken away and she will be afraid of abusing ppl
