I accept that Man Ure are favourites for the title this year, BUT while Man Ure are repaying their huge debt,
Chelski will buy more players and get stronger,
Arsenal's existing squad will mature and get better, and
Liverpool will be able to surround Gerrard with decent players, so...
is this Fergusmoan's last chance for a trophy?

Just to clarify...
Yes, I realise that Arsenal also have a debt, but essentially the only player they need to buy is a goalkeeper. And they proved on Sunday they can survive without their three best players.
Meanwhile, Man Utd / the Glazers have a HUGE amount of money to recoup (£500m), and Giggs and Scholes will need replacing in the next two years (Carrick and Fletcher are good, but they ain't THAT good).

Manchester United's Old Trafford sells two times the rest of the premiership stadiums almost every week.Manchester United are still the highest earning Club in the World even ahead of Real Madrid. So winnning the title this year will help Glazer with his debt and Man United don't look like they cannot buy as many players as any Club. The Club it self is still richer than Chelsea even though Chelsea have the richest owner. So no Manchester United will always be great and will always have success. In a few years Glazer will pay the debt and we will emerge the world's richest Club.We have a very great youth system whom we are bringing up and by the time Giggs and Scholes leave we will have some good replacements.Don't forget Manchester United still have the two best young players in the World in Christiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.People always write Manchester United out but they always suprise people it is a great club and will always be great so anyone who has hopes for the great Giants falling well your hopes will fail you.Have a nice day and believe me everything i say is true not because i am a fan but because i am also a soccer analyst and i look at possibilities.Manchester United don't look at impossibilities they create possibilities.Sir Alex Ferguson didn't just sit down and do what Mourinho did and bought expensive players. He has proven his greatness by building teams after teams. He has built more than 15 different teams of mediocre players and made them win titles. He still has the experience and isn't ready to quit yet a very wise manager who won a treble not by buying World Class players.Manchester United does not have a debt it is Glazer who is in debt. The best manager who has ever lived is Sir Alex Ferguson. And he is not quitting any time soon.

Unfortunately for the fans of Manchester United the £700million debt is looming tall. They have lost an expert finisher in Van Nistelhorse and I think this may put pay to their title credentials later on in the season.
I personally believe that the forthcoming investment in Liverpool Football Club will push the club to the forefront in the league title race with Chelski.
As Arsene Whinger stated yesterday that he is fearful of the future, and the ramifications of market forces driving up the average weekly wage of the top players.
Foreign players will want to go to either Liverpool or Chelsea due to wages and the quality of the teams.
Also a point to Renoir Alex Fergusmoan is not the most successful Manager in English History, it is Bob Paisley - Nobody else has managed to win more European Cups than he, therefore showing that Liverpool were the greatest team in Europe. Compare that with Fergie he's only managed that accolade once.
Sure Ferguson has been a great manager, but Manchester United's success was built on the ideas and dreams of a Liverpool Legend Matt Busby.
Liverpool have shown in the last six years that despite not challenging for the league title you can still win more silverware than anybody else in England, so all is not doom and gloom for Manchester United.

No I can't say that it is. Man Utd is a very strong team with exceptionally talented players. Yea sure, Chelsea might go and get some more talented guys to add to their squad, but just look at the results of getting Shev and Ballack this year...Man Utd is still on top, despite Chelsea's current players. You never know how things are going to be in the future, but I doubt that Man Utd is going to fall out of it anytime soon.
Oh, and hopefully Liverpool will keep up their current form for next season so we have a decent run at the title :)

Unless they bring in a totally crap manager after Alex leaves I doubt it. I think what this season and Man U is showing over anything, is that now huge spending can't win the Premiership, the rest of the teams are getting used to the fact that Chelsea will continue to buy big, they also realise how good they are themselves. How many times has Chelsea lost this season, or finding it more difficult to hang onto a 1-0 lead or win for that matter? As for the rest of the big clubs, Liverpool have the squad to do it, just not the belief, Arsenal along with perhaps West Ham have the most potential, to bad one has an excellent manager and the other has a shite one.

I'm a gunner. I think that Man Utd will always challenge for titles. Alex Ferguson is one of the truely great managers. I would be surprised to see Man Utd go the same way Nottingham Forest went when Cloughy retired.
and for "brianpaths" Since I started watching football Man Utd won the league in 98/99, 99/00, 00/01, 02.03 and the champions league in 98/99, not to mention the FA cup loads of times, so I have no idea where your getting 1969 from.

don't be an idiot. we've got plenty of young players and players willing to come in.
keep praying that it is, because it won't be.
as for liverpool and chelsea....liverpool were heading down chelsea's old road until a multi-billionaire bought them out....and, newsflash, gerrard is not renewable. they'll get three more good seasons out of him, unless of course he leaves to a club with genuine title aspirations. they'll be no gerrard to make all the mediocre players look good. arsenal need to buy some british/harder players before they can dream of the title; this isn't just a youth issue. chelsea are the most secure of the bunch.
--------
the glazers have the debt. i realise money has to be spent and the interest is growing on their debt but we're making a net of £3m+ every home match and have tv rights on top of that. the debt we have is not the nightmare some publications would have you believe it to be

Show some respect, Ferguson is the most successful club manager in history bar none and he has done it by building teams, not by buying them. It ain't even xmas yet and you are panicking about next year. Arsenal are the team with the massive debt, and if their team is gonna mature what d'you think M.U's is gonna do?, they are not exactly pensioners. Chelski can only buy players IF the players are available and IF they want to go to Chelsea also Chelsea are a team of diving mecenaries ( Drogba, Ashley Cole etc.) who will come unstuck. Even IF Liverpool had the money they would be in the same boat as Chelsea. M.U. have strength in depth with young players who have yet to come through so are not reliant on checkbook I will give Mourinho credit for what he did at Porto but my grannie could have won the Premier league given the money he has to spend

YES we still have 36 games! our title hopes are still very much alive! if the red devils need any wakeup calls its better to come early in the season when there's still plenty to play for.. i am confident that they will bounce back very soon!

There are 2 fundamental problems here.
1. manchester united football club do not have a debt.
2. manchester united have consistently won trophys tear in year out, they have appeared in 17 fa cup finals and won 11, they are only second to liverpool in winning the league, again they are only second to liverpool in euro trophys won, so while your question has attracted the usual ill-informed responses, it is a factually incorrect question.chelski are like blackburn, a flash in the pan.
