Titus Andronicus is a fictional character.

Shakespeare draws on several historical characters to construct Andronicus. He also uses real incidents from different eras of Roman history in construcing his play which leads some people to think the character is an historical one.

Often people confuse Titus Andronicus with Titus Flavius, who was a real person.
