Apparently it is routine to be circumsised in america? I thought this was just a religious thing but this is routine for all baby boys in america, not europe, Why is this? It seems very very strange to me.

Im sorry but that is a myth? there is no evidence that supports circumsision. I dont know anyone that has had their dick fall off just because they left the foreskin on, come on. Whats the real reason?

And if the germs argument was true then why not cut the tongue from our heads too as that surley holds a lot of bacteria on it and under it, come on, come on, wake up. We evolved this way, its mutilation and I want to know why?

There is something seriously wrong with most of these awnsers, its frightening. It makes sex better, easier, are you serious, I didnt realise all these years that sex was so painful because of my foreskin, oh noooo, all that agony Ive been through. And if its so clean tell that to all the guys in the states with s.t.d.'s. It makes no difference. Oh and we should all go bald out of choice because its cleaner, saves us washing our hair, right.

I think we need a woman president, by the look of these awnsers. Maybe there is a direct link between the lack higher motor function and the removal of the foreskin...Its looking that way.

To the person who said "cut" i think you don't know what you are talking about, they don't cut anymore, well not where i come from, my son had a little bell put on it which fell off after about 10 days, and the foreskin came with it there was no cutting and there was no pain, he was a happy settled baby when they applied it and during the 10 days and when it fell off i didn't even realize it had happened, he showed absolutely no signs of any discomfort.
Also my husband is circumsized and i wouldn't have it any other way. I wouldn't go near an uncircumsized penis, you dont know what germs lurk below, how are you to know whether that particular person is vigilant with personal hygein? i wouldn't take the risk in finding out he wasn't, eeeewwwwwwww!

byderule, I don't know what women you are talking to. This is not true. Most women that I know prefer what was given at birth, not a lack of it. It is not better. Unless you know something us females don't. I won't go there though. You probably only say that because you are circumcised. If you weren't, you would be much more pleased, I bet. Maybe you are angry that you are circumcised, so you make excuses for it like most.
You know, I am from America and I've always wondered why people are so hell bent on getting their sons' penis cut. It doesn't make sense to me at all. It's disgusting if you really think about it. And you're right, there is no proof of any of that germ mambo jumbo crap. I vow not to get my sons circumcised; EVER! It's wrong I believe.

I bet you James most Americans are going to say it healthier etc. There is no prove that an uncircumcised man is any different. And the argument that circumcised men get less diseases etc there is no prove of that. Plus circumcised men lose the nerves ending when it cut off. So whey do circumcised men when in self pleasure force the skin up as if they where uncircumcised ? No they do not practice circumcising in Europe.
circumcision is mutilation.

You are being silly about germs. You can't compare the germs in your mouth to that of a penis.
A circumcised penis is cleaner and not likely to become infected. A small boy is not going to pull that foreskin back and clean his penis every day. It is just not going to happen. I cannot believe men enjoy cleaning that every day. I know adult men that have been circumcised because of the all the problems of not being done at birth.

Well, I don't know what your source of information is but the fact is that it is healthier to be circumcized than not. In fact the military was offering to do the surgery on the guys in my unit in Vietnam if they wanted it done. The doctors said it was a cleaner solution. Also sex is easier and more pleasurable for the circumcized. And God in His Wisdom had a reason for telling His People to do it, so that's good enough for me.

A little over a century ago it became popular in the US as a means of dsicouraging masturbation.
It wasn't exactly effective at that, but it's still very much the normal practice in the US.
US males tend to use the penis as a blunt instrument as a result.

Many men get circumcised later in life .
especialy in Europe because it is not automatic in Hospitals
And it is to be recomended for all parents to do it for their sons
if not they can be ridiculed in public showers
sex is far better,and the penis is always clean
less chance of disease.
and most women prefer it by far.
are you a guy ,if you were and you were circumcised you would not have it any other way

The reason behind it is cleanliness, dirt and mouisture can get under that skin. Also it looks better without the foreskin.

I was told it was easier to keep clean and my husband said my sons should so they would fit in and not feel different than other guys.
