why do people act like they have always been perfect?some people act like they have never tried any type of drug or cheated on someone or maybe tried something sexual with someone of the opposite sex. why try it if your gonna be ashamed

Shame can be a powerful motivator to lie... the fact is that everyone has done something they're ashamed of and I think that if they knew how shameful they would feel later they probably wouldn't have done it in the first place.

Some people really have never done those thing and some people are lying.
I've tried drugs but I've only ever had a sexual relationship with the person I've been married to for 26 years. Doesn't make me perfect, just lucky.
When I was young, I did a lot of things I wouldn't mind undoing. The problem with youth is that your innocence and hormones can make you do things you will be ashamed of when you grow up a bit.
The best thing to do is to stop worrying about the perfection of others and just live your own life in the best way you can. There is no such thing as perfection... that's what makes this a wonderful and interesting world. :)

I don't act like I'm perfect, but I actually haven't done anything that you've listed here! Anyhows, people act like they're pefect for various reasons- usually to speak from a point of moral superiority. And as for trying things when they're going to be ashamed, well, sometimes curiousity takes the better of us, or, more likely, we don't know that we'll be ashamed. It's called a mistake- when you don't know what you're doing now is something that you'll regret later.

I'm far from perfect. I've done the drinking & cutting school bit but as far as sex I've only had 3 partners & I'm 40. Alot of people in my family tease me for that especially my 25 year old cousin who has been with around 20 people but that's just not me

People who act perfect are far from it. No one is perfect. Supposedly the only perfect person was nailed to a cross and crucified. So why bother with perfection if it lands you on a cross. Life is what you make it. My motto is if you don't feed, f#@!, or finance me; f@#$ off. Life is too short to worry about others. We can't change how others perceive us only how we conduct ourselves. So live YOUR best life not someone elses.

Some people feel that private things should be kept private. Luckily, I'm not one of those people... I've tried weed, once, and didn't like it... I can honestly say I've never cheated, though I've been cheated on... and I've tried many sexual things with both sexes...

Some people don't realize what they do is wrong, some people really don't do that. My girlfriend for example has never smoked anything, done anything with anyone, been anywhere. In fact i'm her first boyfriend, some people really are as naive as it seems...

You should feel bad about cheating. IT HURTS PEOPLE.
